Armored Company

"The rifle, effective as it is, can not replace the effect produced by the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of COLD STEEL!"

Just added to our expanding motor pool a 1968 M274 Mule Weapons Carrier. No, this will not be converted to a tank it will stay as it was intended to be, a weapons / personal carrier. We are either going to mount a heavy automatic paintball gun or a large air canon.

The vehicle pictured below is our LAT-A1 (light armored tank). It was used quite successfully in our last scenario. Although it performed well, there were some weaknesses that needed to be addressed.

The LAT-A2 will be in production this month with several major upgrades. Additional sloping armor. Improved crew compartment protection with closeable sight housings. Remote control color video camera system with 7" color display for closed (crew compartment) battles engagements. Secondary outside gun mount with armor protection. Improved communications and Electronic Targeting system to disable the tank during engagements.

Hopefully all the the upgrades will be completed in time for our next scenario, Afghanistan 1989 The Redoubt.
