Zvornik- The Serbs attack!
Order of Battle Back Zvornik

We will not be serving lunch nor having a lunch break. Please use your 15 minute breaks
to your best advantage. You may also skip a session in order to rest or have lunch.

The Zvornia scenario is divided into SESSIONS. Each session runs 30 minutes with 15 minute rest periods between sessions. After the rest periods all team members must meet with their commanders in their designated areas to receive their orders and placement on the field.

Re Incarnations:
As mentioned earlier the sessions run 30 minutes without breaks. However, which ever side you play for you have the ability to return to the field as a re incarnated player. The U.N. player returns to it's H.Q. (firebase Charlie) or to the U.S. zone (X-Ray) if the U.N. HQ has been captured. The Serbs and it's allies including Russian Federation forces return to Serbia and it's HQ. (firebase Bravo).

However, it's important to remember that you will not be allowed to return to the staging area to re supply yourself until the end of each session. So it's important that you carry as much as possible and use those supplies wisely. You have 15 minutes between sessions to re supply yourself and to get ready for the next session.

Victory Conditions:
-The United Nations must hold and secure the village of Zvornik and U.N. HQ at firebase Charlie and prevent them from being occupied by Serb forces. Due to actual U.N. Charter, U.N. member nation cannot attack a sovereign nation even if it's under attack by that nation with out U.N. security council approval.

-The Serbs must Control the Village of Zvornik and capture the U.N. HQ at firebase Charlie. The Serbian army has sanctuary behind their borders so the Serbs cannot loose by the lose of their Firebase (Bravo) due to U. N. Charter concerning sovereign nations.

Engagement rules for armor

First Session

The United Nations and the Nato led SFOR start off with all member nations on the field. Portugal occupies firebase Foxtrot, Turkey occupies Echo, Denmark
occupies India and Russian Federation occupies Golf, with firebase Charlie being U.N. HQ.

The U.S. 11th Cav. has no firebase to occupy but have set up a staging area X-Ray, on the upper road. The 11th Cav. does not enter the battle until 15 minutes into the start of the 1st session,
or unless they are fired on by the Serbs

,As the battle begins and the Serb army advances toward Zvornik, the U.N. mission is mainly defensive, to protect the village of Zvornik. Their orders are not to advance but to hold their firebase's from capture. If a member nation loses control of their area or responsibility they move to protect the village and the surrounding area of Charlie (U.N. HQ) If the U.N. forces loses all their firebase's and the village of Zvornik they must retreat to firebase Charlie and hold it at all cost until the end of the first session.kh

In the first session the U.S. 11th Cav. is the only mobile force the U.N. has on the field to deal with the Serb army. Their mission is to search out and destroy any Serb army and their allies. Also, as the regiment fights their way through the theater of operation (the field), the regiment should capture or secure as many open or enemy occupied bases as possible (Delta, Echo and so forth).

2nd Session

With as many bases under U.N. control you can place as many troops available to you in the proceeding sessions, so can the Serbs. For example, say it's the 2nd session and the Serbs control Foxtrot, Echo, Golf and and the U.N. controls Delta, Hotel and India, as the U.N. commander you would be smart to place troops for the attack as close to Foxtrot as possible. But be careful, since Serbs control Golf (to close to the village or your supply lines), you may have to use some of those troops to attack those Serbs troops and protect your rear!

Remember, Due to actual U.N. Charter, U.N. member nation cannot attack a sovereign nation even if it's under attack by that nation with out U.N. security council approval. SFOR forces are forbidden to cross the Bosnian/Serbian border to do battle and may not return fire across the border unless fired upon by the opposing forces. So it's conceivable that the Serbs may attack only to fall back to the safety of their border to regroup for another attack. By the start of the last session, if SFOR has total control of the village of Zvornik the U.N. security council may give the SFOR permission to cross the Border and take out the rogue Serb forces and their allies.

Word of caution to SFOR, beware of secret alliances!

1st Session

The Serbian Army along with their Mercenary Soviet Allies are Stationed in front of the Bosnian/Serb border with firebase Bravo being their H.Q. This border region is very important to the Serbs, it's their sanctuary. As the Serbs move forward to the village of Zvornik and encounter U.N. forces, the Serbs may fall back to their border if their attacks are not successful with out being attacked with in their border. They may shoot at SFOR but they run the risk at being shot back at.

2nd Session

Assuming the Serbs have control of at least one firebase (maybe more), the Serbs may place as many troops at those base they control and lunch attacks against SFOR and it's HG. (firebase Charlie). Total victory is assured if by the end of the last session the Serbs control the village and U.N. H.Q.

Secret alliances

By the end of the 3rd session if the Serbs control at lest 2 of the 4 firebase's (Echo, India, foxtrot and Golf) surrounding the village, they may approach the commander of the Russian Federation to join the battle to help the Serbs capture and secure the village of Zvornik and return it to the rightful owners. The Russian Federation Forces may now take up arms against SFOR. If SFOR re captures all of the firebase's surrounding the village after the 4th session they may defect back to SFOR.
